December 23, 2007

Hi all; apologies again for the lateness in updates– I'm taking some radical steps to be able to become active in software development again; more details in the coming weeks.

November 26, 2007

Hi everyone… Just an update here– got sick (and better) over the last week– and been catching up on sleep.

I did not, unfortunately, have time to come up with a new release for Monobook for Dokuwiki nor Multitemplate for Dokuwiki, however, I do have faith for this coming weekend, December 1st, 2007.

Please keep your fingers crossed…!

November 13, 2007

Hello everyone– I've received many emails in the last few weeks with contributions for Monobook, Multitemplate, and the like.

Currently right now I'm completely slammed with school and outside projects that I've committed to. Honestly I've been so busy I barely get time to read my personal email (from you guys) to let alone respond to them.

Things will lighten up in a little bit, and I'll plan for a new release at the very latest by November 25th, 2007.

In the mean time, I'd again like to thank everyone for their contributions.

Well, I've finally had a chance to upgrade to the latest DokuWiki, and I don't see any problems as of yet. I'll be able to do some more testing today, and let's see about getting some updates of plugins. Sound good?

June 8, 2007

To improve development of the Projects some, I'll be starting to move the majority of them to a local SVN (Subversion) server.

Once this is set up properly, I'll post some instructions on what the impact will be.

In other news, I have not upgraded to the latest version of DokuWiki yet. I haven't heard of any major compatibility issues with any of the DokuWiki related Projects so everything should be OK for now.

Monobook for Dokuwiki has been updated, here's what's new:

  • Added a few new options in configuration settings, thanks to Patrik Bornemann.
  • Better print support, thanks to Tobias Eigen.
  • Proper rtl support, thanks to Tobias Eigen for identifying that this wasn't being handled properly.

The page for Multitemplate for Dokuwiki has been updated; here's what's new:

  • Pascal Bihler has added contributed a plugin for Multitemplate that helps integrate mutltitemplate with the style.ini files used in many templates– so less modification is required to get ordinary templates up and running. And of course this is awesome. :-D

April 29, 2007

Referrers for DokuWiki has been updated; here's what's new:

  • More referrer spam blocking is in place.
  • Better support for not logging spiders and search engines.
  • Non-standard browser/client IDs will also get logged.

Ok, so working with kempomake some more, I'm starting to think it might be a little infeasible for libtate. Most "packages" so far are mostly templates, meaning there's no objects to compile. I'm not horribly thrilled over the file structure, although it is a clean file structure over all.

Overall then, file structure needs a better implementation.

Additionally, perhaps libtate simply needs better follow through on plans in some areas… I'd attribute this mostly to time constrains in the last few years more than anything else.

Back to the drawing board…

March 16, 2007

kempomake has been retooled somewhat, and is now clean enough to start using for production. Here's what's new:

  • The only currently supported platform is Win32 for the time being.
  • The only currently supported build level is DEBUG for the time being.

(Release b fixes a possible bug in the VS 2005 template for applications.)

Monobook for Dokuwiki has been updated, here's what's new:

March 13, 2007

kempomake has been updated; it now works with Visual Studio 2005 SP1, and a lot of things have been simplified in it, but it's still kind of sloppy, so there will be another update soon.

March 11, 2007

Monobook for Dokuwiki has been updated, here's what's new:

  • Two new languages, zh-cn and zh-tw; thanks to 郭長祐 for this.

BackupTool for Dokuwiki has been updated, here's what's new:

  • Added conf/mime.conf to list of things backed up under "configuration settings"

Google Analytics for DokuWiki has been updated, here's what's new:

New project, rational_number_type.

Google Analytics for DokuWiki has been updated, here's what's new:

February 15, 2007

  • Monobook for Dokuwiki has been updated:
    • Style.ini updated
    • Author setting now available for "Cite this Article" links.
    • Updated installation instructions.
    • Possibly other minor changes– don’t recall.
    • Cleaner rewrite, but nothing new otherwise.
    • The problem regarding ACL is something broken in the DokuWiki source; it’s nothing on my end. I’ve reported it, and there’s not much else I can do from here.

February 8, 2007

I've posted a page for a new project, tateme; currently it's just in the planning stages.

January 23, 2007

I've added a/an FAQ section to the discussion page on Monobook for Dokuwiki. This is because I'm kind of tired of answering the same questions over and over, and they have nothing to do with the template, but with the underlying wiki software.

This is not to discourage you from asking questions; all I would ask is that you please read the installation instructions first, and try not to ask questions that are simply unrelated to the project.

January 4, 2007

I've released a new drop of libtate… it is kind of in a holding pattern again. I think I'm going to have to change the way I structure the library– from a single library to a library of segmented libraries. I've avoided having to do things this way due to it being kind of a pain from the IDE side of development, but it will allow me to publish working parts of the library while still having experimental parts in development… and overall this is what I was hoping to accomplish.

Because of all of this– and this is something I never thought I'd say, but kempomake will be making a comeback.

January 3, 2007

Monobook for Dokuwiki has been updated, here is what's new:

  • Italian language has been added
  • Wikipedia-specific stylesheets have been added for the ten primary languages of Wikipedia: en, de, fr, pl, ja, nl, it, pt, sv, and es.
    • What you’ll notice is better support for your native language as well as a closer "look and feel" to Wikipedia.

Tabs look a little better:

And the "portlets" are customized as well.

I already predict folks will want a little more customizable look and feel; be assured I'll work on it for the next release.

January 2, 2007

Multitemplate for Dokuwiki has been updated. This fixes compatibility with templates that use configuration management. (Which was the only recent bug.)
